Malaysia Open

Watched the Malaysian Open Golf tournament on Showtime Sport Channel for the past two days and felt disappoined that we once again failed to capture the tournamnet despite having lead the tournament for the opening rounds. Well it looks like Malaysia will have to wait another year and see whether we will be able to make it then.  Despite being away from Malaysian soil, I guess all Malaysian would want a Malaysian to make it whatmore with the tournamnet being held in Malaysia.

Though one would always saya that may the best man wins, but deep inside us we will always be hoping that a local would win. Still Chia has made Malaysian proud of his achievement and hope that he will bring more fame to Malaysia in the near future. Thats the patriotic spirit within all of us which we should nurture not only in sports but in all that we do. We must learn to be proud of Malaysia and what we stand for. Thats how a nation and its people could move forward especially with the catch phrase of Malaysia Boleh!. Malaysia is second best to NONE!

Listening & Hearing

As individuals that made up a society or community that we live in or work, one needs to listen and hear what others are saying. Generally people tend to only listen but but we fail to hear the words. This failure of listening and hearing indirectly contributes to the mess that we are currently faced with.

Whatever position we hold, be it as superiors or subordinates, we must not fail in this act. We must continue to listen and hear what the other party are saying. We can learn more and helps create a conducive environment for all if we hear and listen. Sometimes we tend to just wave aside what someone else are saying just because we think that we knows better the subject. But that need not necessarily be true. Besides that there is no harm in just giving the other person to voice out his opinion. It will helps to boost his self confidence.

Never be judgemental in life because we have more to lose by being one.

Virtues of Life

"Privileges and positions should be used with care and compassion,
never take advantage of it and abuse it"
and
"Don't take advantage of people and don't let people take advantage of you"

Those are two quotes from YBhg. Tan Sri Murad Hashim in one of his recent interview with the media which caught my attention. We should adopt and practice them throughout our life. Leaders, organizations and nations could all fail if privileges and positions are randomly abused and not curtailed. Abuses of privileges, positions and power all lead to various form of corruptions.
Organizations and nations would be able to develop and prosper if only everyone adhere to the rules. Let us all thus learn not to take advantage and abuse what little privileges that we have in work and life.

We must also learn not to take advantage of people especially when people are nice to us. Simultaneously, we should also not allow others to take advantage of us. We must be able to say NO when the circumstances warrants it and we should thus accepts when others say NO to us.

Israel and US - the Righteous Warlord

Israel can do no wrong! That's the message that the US has been and will always be telling the whole world, justifying Israel's actions at every given opportunity .... what more with the media being under their control "the so-called freedom of the press" but in reality the manipulations of truth.

How can one justify the actions of Israel - blatant disregard of international law - is beyond others' comprehension. More than twp weeks has passed and we continuously see the carnage and atrocities happening in Gaza committed by Israel. But yet the international community is not allowed to act. The international community just seems paralyze and allows itself to be dictated and bullied by the Americans and Israel. What is happening? Are the Americans and Israel so powerful that the international community remains silence.

How many more death of innocence Gazan civilians - children, women - before we want to act? Or do we just allow Israel to continue with their genocide and cleanse out the entire Gazans population - either due to death or driven out as refugees. Perhaps that is the agenda of Bush as a parting gift to the Israelis. Perhaps also that was his actual plan in order to realize the objective of the Annapolis Conference - finding solution to the Middle East crisis by getting rid of the entire Gazans population.

Let us pray that humanity will prevail soon!

Hypocrisy the World Watches

For the past few days, the world sits by and watches in acceptance of the hypocrisy and blatant double standard in humanity. As Israel continues to bombard the people of Gaza, the so called preacher of humanity and champion for human rights just watch with no voice of condemnation against the aggression. The military might of Israel gives them the utmost right to protect themselves while the Gazans that have been deprived of their basic human rights and dignity is is being blamed once again. The occupiers are given the right to defend themselves but the people of the land have no right whatsoever. This is humanity and human rights according to the definition of the human rights champion.

It is also sad that the Arab League could not come to an agreement on how to overcome the carnage that is happening in their midst. With the Arab League themselves in disarray, what more could you expect from the United Nations. The world community could easily come together and start issuing resolutions when it involves another on the pretext of pre-emptive measures. But when it comes to Palestine, let us just watch and we will address it when Israel wants to stop or has enough. Meanwhile let us keep tab of the death among the Palestine and hope that it will helps to reduce the Palestine population and could eventually perhaps help in the occupier's bigger agenda of taking more Palestine land.

It is a sad, sad and pitiful world that we live in where the the act of the powers that be has no limits. They are above the law and no one dares to take the appropriate action. Where are the Champions of Human Rights?
